Cultural Arts Day is coming!

Tomorrow, Tuesday the 23rd, is the second grade specials day for the month of September! So everyone needs to bring in those library books, wear those sneakers, and get ready to have some fun!!

Nature Exploration

Fall Fundraising Begins on Wednesday!

Good morning second grade!

Just a little note that we will begin our school fundraiser tomorrow, Wednesday the 9th.  We have an all school assembly in the morning to kick it off.  Please keep a look out for the information in your child's folder.  Also, the second spelling tests will come home today!  Please them with your child to make sure they are master of the long vowel spelling pattern with the silent E.  Lastly, we will have the chapter 1 math test on Thursday.  Please continue to review the math homework and pages we send home to ensure that your child has success on Thursday.  Keep up the great work!  We have a great class this year, I am so happy to have your children in Room 115!

Tomorrow is Library!

Good afternoon!

Just a reminder, tomorrow is our library day. Please bring your library book back and we will be able to check out another one for the week.  Also, we will begin our classroom book check out system.  Please be on the lookout for more information in your child's folder.  Have a great night!

Today is our Specials Day!

Good morning second grade!

Today will be a fun filled day exploring all the different specials classes.  We have music and library in the morning and art and PE in the afternoon.  Lunch is at the same time.  Since we have specials lite this year, we won't have another specials day until Sept. 23rd.  It is important that your child come on time and prepared with gym shoes so they can participate all day!

Also, since today we won't have time for our 1.4 math lesson, the 1.4 lesson will be on Friday and the homework will be due on Tuesday.  I don't normally like to have homework over the weekend, but since our schedule changed this week, we will go with the flow.

Welcome Back to School!

Hi everyone!  It is a special day at Amelia Elementary...the first day of school!!  It is so good to see all the smiling faces of my new second grade class.  Just wanted to let everyone know our lunch time is 11:15 am.  I'll be posting more information as it comes, have a great day!!

Hello to all my new second grade families!  I'm so excited to begin a new school year with a couple new and exciting changes happening at Amelia Elementary!  Please come to Open House on Monday from 5-7 to meet me and see your new classroom.  It will be a lot of fun!
